Founder
Sanjay Dessai, a successful engineer with over two decades of experience in the oil & gas, and renewable energy sector, is the visionary behind S and S Solar City. His career spans across complex projects working with diverse teams from East to the West, learning various etiquettes and implementing in his life. Sanjay has excelled in project management, operations management, fabrication operations, production engineering, and customer support, with a specialization in managing EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning) projects, both onshore and offshore.
His expertise includes leading major Offshore Wind Farm energy projects in the UK and Netherlands, as well as oil and gas projects in various international regions like the Middle East, Gulf of Mexico, India, and South Asia. During his time in the UK, while working on the commissioning phase of the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm project, Sanjay was inspired by onshore solar farms and envisioned contributing to India’s renewable energy goals. This, combined with the Indian government’s push for solar rooftop solutions, led him to establish S and S Solar City in 2024 in Goa.
Sanjay holds an MBA from an Australian university, further enhancing his leadership and strategic decision-making abilities. With this blend of international experience and business acumen, he aims to empower individuals and businesses to embrace clean, renewable energy while contributing to a greener and more self-reliant Goa. By making solar energy accessible to every home, school, and business, he desires to help Goa and India meet its ambitious target of generating 550 GW of solar energy by 2030.
